Cyber Surrender

Metaphorical Definition:

 "Sense of social setting that exists purely within a space of representation and communication. It exists entirely within a computer space distributed across increasingly complex networks."

The world of hyperspace is where I always find myself to get out of this reality. In this cyber, you can be anyone you want to be. You create your own history as how you envision it to be. However, some would start living both worlds in parallel until they would get fond of it, then curiosity gets you much further till you are tempted and eventually cross the fine line. This is where complication begins....

Boy meets girl.

You first start with your make believe. After days, weeks, and sometimes months of chat and email exchange, you realize that you both click and somewhat finding yourselves liking each other. Then, stories begins to intertwine with reality, hoping to make things work and take the next step. One way or another, one will eventually take the risk and express love for the other. Either they fall flat and hard or they end up catching each other. If they do catch each other, the vast horizon that you usually see suddenly become blurry. It's like driving a car at night where you never see further than your headlights. As you start to wonder, "where will this lead us?"

Even when you continue on with sending each other text messages or calling each other, how will you turn your make believe stories into reality? Or how will you tell the other person that some of those what you said were lies? Where does 'trust' and 'honesty' comes in? As how one of my closest friend puts it, "how can you make things right if you start it wrongly?"And the most intriguing question "Is he for real?"

I'm sure these crossed your mind but you tried to ignore it especially when you were already caught up, rolling into deep. You, the wishful thinker... But then again, it's up to you if you'll surrender to this cyber...
