San Francisco GIANTS, World Series 2010 Champs
November 1, 2010, a part of history.
Came home, ate dinner and watched the ballgame. One more win and the Giants will be the Champs! Civic Center was packed. People patiently waiting for the game to start as they watch it live at a large screen that was set up. Bars were full and everyone is starting to get drunk even before the game started. Giants fans gathered at AT&T Park, San Francisco downtown and Civic Center. Goosebumps all over as I watch them express their excitement live on TV.
Lincecum pitching agains Cliff Lee once again and everyone is excited. The 5th Game was held at Texas Ranger's ballpark. 0-0 score from 1st inning till the 7th inning. Nelson Cruz of Texas Rangers passed Lincecum's pitch and blasted a homer. Ballpark was loud till the 8th inning when Edgar Ranteria batted a home run and scored 3. Then Brian 'The Beard' Wilson came to close the game as he relieved Lincecum at the bottom of the 9th inning and Texas was out-hit!
After how many years of 'torture' as they say, Giants finally won the battle! As what one of the Giants' ballers said in an interview, "...we're not star players. We're nobody".
Cheers to San Francisco Giants, World Series 2010 Champs!
